Despite the rain, thousands of Muslim devotees gathered at Tirana’s main
boulevard for the “Kurban Bayram” celebrations, the second biggest
holiday of the Islamic community.
After wishing a happy holiday to Muslims throughout the world, the Head of the Muslim Community, Skender Brucaj, underlined that this day is about the sacrifice of man on behalf of God, and on behalf of love for each other.
The Mufti of Tirana, Ylli Gurra, and theologian Elvis Naci underlined that believing in God should not be limited only to holidays. “Our country and the entire world need the good spirit of people, which comes only through religion”.
