Muslims around the world and in Albania are celebrating Kurban Bayram, a holiday related to the sacrifice of an animal.
Muslims in Albania gathered at Tirana’s main square while in Kosovo it was held at the Prishtina Big Mosque.
The Albanian Muslim Community leader, Bujar Spahiu, wished a happy holiday to all believers and reminded them that this holiday makes people get closer with their hearts, forget hate, lay the reconciliation hand, recover social and human connections with love and sincerity, until every home is filled with joy and harmony.
Baba Mondi of the Bektashi community gave a peaceful message on this special day, and wished prosperity and harmony to communities of all religions.
The Mufti of Kosovo, Naim Ternava, wished the citizens and said that the values of this holiday are manifested through devotion, solidarity and humanism.
