Alesja is 8 years old, and she attends the Elbasan Music School. But it hasn’t been an easy ride for her to be there.
Diagnosed with autism at 2 years of age, Alesja rarely smiled.
“She loved music after she finished kindergarten, and we took her to the music school”, says Bashkim Aliaj, Alesja’s father.
Alesja has been treated at the Autism Center in Elbasan, with visibly positive results.
“She used to have a problematic behavior, because she cried when she wanted to ask for something. Now she is more sociable”, says Desareta Hasa, at the Elbasan Center for Autism.
Alesja started fighting autism when she was just three. She wan small, but very difficult battles, while today she studies at a public school, with many of other friends. She has discovered that she loves math and grammar.
