The neighbors expressed their shock today, one day after a barrage of bullets on Anastas Shundi street in Tirana, killed an innocent bartender of a small suburban bar.

As a result of the attack on Sunday evening, 58-year-old Mimoza Paja, who lived in Tirana for 10 years, died.

While her granddaughter, who was raised by the victim after the parents’ divorce, was present in the bar where the assassination took place and was injured but out of danger for her life.

The tragic loss of her grandmother has traumatized the 10-year-old, who after her parents’ divorce had only Mimosa as a mother and father.

The 58-year-old woman was struggling with all her might, doing several jobs and living in debt to make ends meet for both.

“She was a very hardworking woman.

Desperate, very poor. She was also forced to collect cans. He had a list of food debt, she collected everything. It hurts a lot”, says a shop assistant.

The bar where Mimoza Paja worked, is located only 10 meters from her house. “What was wrong with Mimosa?

She worked two shifts to provide a living for her granddaughter. I feel very insecure in my place”, says the interviewed neighbor.

Residents are afraid and not all of them have the courage to speak, but all of them, whether in front of the camera or outside, ask the state to bring justice for Mimosa.
