A murder attempt with an explosive has shocked the city of Shkoder this
Monday afternoon. The target was police officer Kujtim Cardaku, who is
now hospitalized in difficult conditions.
Cardaku was alone when entering his private vehicle that he had parked in the city center. The explosive blew up right after he switched the ignition on. As result the police officer was removed from the car in life threatening conditions and now is in the reanimation pavilion of Shkoder.
The police officer has worked for several years in Shkoder and recently had been transferred to the criminal police of Lezhe.
This is not the first murder attempt with explosives against state police officers in the recent days, which raises suspicions that it might come from the organized crime.
Three days ago a quantity of explosive blew up the personal vehicle of the Tirana Police District no.1 Chief of Crimes, Artur Hyka.
In the beginning of the month another explosive blew up the vehicle of Armando Cekaj while trying to move his parked vehicle near the Siri Kodra school, and thankfully there were no victims.
Another car in the past month blew up in Vlore, and the driver escaped with non serious wounds.
