At least one third of the inspectors in the Tirana Municipality Tax
Directory who were let go from their duty claim that their discharge has political
reasons, and for this they asked the help of the OSCE representative in Tirana.
The Tirana Municipality Tax Directory currently has only 20 employees, from 80 that they used to be until some weeks ago.
“After end of the 72 hour deadline for the meeting with the director Arben Kau, we want to express our concern to the OSCE ambassador. These actions are unreasonable, because our staff is qualified and has given a high performance until the end. We think that all of this is based on political convictions, since no one has made any violation”, declared the former inspector Marjeta Porja.
The former inspector of the Tax Directory declares that they were discharged for low performance, while in the last 7 months they have never encountered such facts.
