More than 20 MPs of the Albanian Parliament have been fined in the past two months by the Traffic Police.
Most of the names come from the majority and even the government cabinet, but also from the opposition. Although most of the fines are of small financial values, it is clear that the police is trying to leave impunity behind.
Most of the fines are for wrong parking, which is one of the most common violations among all Albanian drivers.
The fines have been given by the Tirana traffic police, and among the persons fines are also the children of the MPs or other high rank officials.
The police promises to keep giving traffic tickets to everyone who violates the rules.
