The chapter about broadcasting licenses at the Audio-Visual Media law has blocked the Commission of Media and Education.
The rapporteur for the opposition, Alfred Dalipi, asked the group of experts to include all subjects and operators that are interested, and not only the majority.
“Their request is not to change the working group, but to not add the ones that are cloned and paid by the government, especially for this chapter. The working group should be enriched, and it should have more thinking heads, not just that of the governenment”, Dalipi declared.
The Chairwoman of this Commission, Valentina Leskaj, declared that this is a very delicate chapter and that they had to be cautious not to compromise the process. The group of experts, approved by the MPs of the Media and Education Commission cannot change midway, according to Leskaj.
“A very synthetic chapter is related to the licensing process, where is hidden the entire affair within and outside the country, and we must be rigorous with that. We should stand to the working group. No one can come as a replacement without the approval of the Commission”, Leskaj declared.
The majority’s rapporteur declared that they should find a compromise and implement the rules, as regard the group of experts.
The Commission ended the session by asking the respective rapporteurs to bring their concrete propositions about this issue, which is very delicate, and that the solution should be found by experts.
