MP Armando Prenga has resigned from the Parliamentary life, taking
everyone by surprise. In a phone call with Top Channel he said that he
will wait for a final verdict of the Court.
Prenga said that the opposition has started a frontal attack against him, and he doesn’t want to be a referring point of their causes.
Prenga explains in a letter sent to Parliament Speaker Ilir Meta that he stays away from the Parliamentary life although he is completely clean of any wrong doings.
“Sali Berisha and Lulzim Basha should have been in prison a long time ago, and now they are attacking me for their political causes. I don’t want to give other costs to my family and relatives, who don’t owe to anyone the mud that Berisha and Basha are throwing to our name, although they are certain about my innocence. I will continue the legal battle while the Democratic Party keeps former convicts as Xhelal Mziu as Mayors and as heroes of what they call fight for democracy”, Prenga said.
