Mother Theresa proclaimed a saint by Pope Francis, mass held in Albanian

“I am giving you this emblematic figure. May it be a model of your
sanctification. It may be difficult to call her Saint Theresa. But her
sanctification is close to us. A mother that became a Saint”.

These were some of the words of Pope Francis in the ceremony for the sanctification of Mother Theresa.

The Holy Father said that her smile should be held in our hearts. “We need to open our heart for those who have lost hoes”.

To honor her origin, the first prayer in the sanctification mass was held in Albanian.
