Mother killed six-week-old baby

The tragedy took place this Wednesday in the Kuturman village, Librazhd. According to the police, the mother suffered postpartum stress disorder. But the testimonies of relatives shed light on some doubts that the father had on the paternity of the baby. Oriola’s mother in law says that her son had demanded a DNA test of the baby.

“The couple had no conflicts, but the second baby was born three weeks earlier than expected. My son was convinced that the boy wasn’t his and wanted to divorce her. We told him to not rush things, but the woman had accepted that the son wasn’t his. Then the tragedy happened”, declared Dylbere Lleshi, mother in law of the woman.

After being questioned at the police, the 30-year-old woman declared that the child had choked while breastfeeding, but then she has been obliged to accept the crime and accused the father for his doubts. The Lleshi couple are parents of another 2-year-old boy. The tragedy seems to have been warned, since the grandfathers had asked the help of the police after the woman had threatened to kill the baby in case of a divorce.
