Mother and her boyfriend arrested over sexual abuse of her 12-year-old daughter

A 12-year-old from Fier has reported her father-in-law to the police,
accusing him of sexually abusing her for the past six years.

The Fier Police immediately arrested Ilmi Hoxhaj, 52, resident of the Mbyet village, and the mother of the girl, Selvie Yzeiraj, 40.

Police say the mother was aware of the sexual abuse for the past six years. The girl is under the care of social workers.
