Travel agencies say that the tourist season had a good start this year.
Sava Bardhi says that the number of foreigners coming to Albania is
increasing with 15% to 20%.
Besnik Vathi says that foreign tourists don’t visit Albania just for curiosity anymore, but they have started to spend holidays in our beaches, mainly in Velipoja and the southern entrance, close to Corfu.
Bardhi says that most of the tourist growth for this year has come from Eastern European countries, such as Poland, the Czech Republic, but also Germans.
Tourism revenues during the past year reached 1.3 billion EUR.
