The flux of illegal immigrants from Arab and Middle Eastern countries,
who try to go to EU through Albania, has increased once again.

The border police has faced several groups of Algerian, Syrian, Moroccans, Iraqi, Tunisians, Libyans and people from other countries of the Middle East, who usually cross illegally through the Green Border with Greece.

Border and Migration police has taken under custody 85 persons in total for September only. In most of the cases they have received orders to leave the country voluntarily. Police report some of the immigrants have been caught more than once truing to pass through Albania.

Some of them were sent to the Immigration Center in Babrru while police has taken measures to increase inspections at the Green Border with Greece.

Immigrants pay organizers who lead them through Europe. Some of them were even caught at the border with Montenegro, ready to cross through the toll gates.
