For several times, through Ambassador Alexander Arvizu, the United States have reiterated their concern about the the Central Election Commission situation and its consequences on the electoral process.

The opposition has asked a reformation of the Central Election Commission, while the majority rejected it, accusing the opposition of wanting to stain the electoral process by leaving the Central Election Commission posts vacant.

The Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, declared that he is ready to summon the Parliament and vote the opposition’s candidates for the Central Election Commission.
