The water resources will be monitored for chemical substances.

Specialists from the Public Health declared that a study will be held for identifying the harming endocrine elements in the water system of our country, a process that will also be held in Puglia, Italy.

“These are chemical weapons that can be found in waters that people use to drink, but mainly on the surface, such as Bovilla. We will also investigate the underground waters”, decalred Arben Luzati, Head of the Pollution Department at the Public Health Institution.

There are six points that will be monitored in our country. In Middle Albania, the operation will monitor Bovilla in Tirana and Maskurija in Kavaja. In Southern Albania the operation will monitor the sources in Saranda and Vlora, while in northern Albania, the operation will monitor Shkoder and Rreshen. The presence of these chemical weapons damages the growth of children.

“This is a traditional operation in every country of the world. These chemical elements damage the growth of children and affect thyroids. We hope to not find them in our waters, but we will give our conclusions after making the investigation”, Luzati declared.

As regards the water situation in our country, Luzati declared that the water has resulted with fuel pollution in Delvina, and for the moment it is not being consumed.
