“I am working to see each of our Western Balkan partners progress
towards EU reforms, and guarantee that the process is irreversible”,
said the EU High Representative for Foreign Policy and Vice President of
the European Commission, Federica Mogherini, before starting her tour
in Albania, Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia and
Macedonia.
“Regional cooperation and good neighboring remain key in this context”, said the Chief of European diplomacy.
Mogherini will start the tour in Montenegro, and will conclude on March 4th in Tirana. Her visit comes in a time when the Democratic Party is organizing protests , while Gruevski supporters in Macedonia rallied against Zaev’s agreement with Albanians.
Mogherini’s agenda in Syria is not public yet, but it may include discussions about the future of the Prishtina-Belgrade dialogue, intermediated by the EU.
