Mitsotakis comes from a political family. His father was Prime Minister of Greece in the 90s, while Dora Bakoyanis, his sister, was Mayor of Athens during the Olympic Games of 2004, before becoming Foreign Minister.
This family has dominated the Greek politics for years, together with the Socialists Papandreu and the conservatory Karamanlis.
Mitsotakis has used very harsh terms so far regarding Albanai, warning that Greece is going to impose conditions before opening the EU accession negotiations.
He has been very harsh with emigrants as well, expressing reserves for their presence in Greece, while Tsipras legalized many of them and offered more financial and fiscal options for them.
His father, Konstantine Mitsotakis, ordered a large operation against the Albanian immigrants, who in the 90s were travelling in masses to Greece.
