They have both given contradictory declarations. Defendant Marjon Mitro
insists that he is friend of the Vlore Prefect, Besnik Dervishi, and
friend of Julian Sinani, and that he doesn’t understand why he is being
accused.
Besnik Dervishi has confirmed for the third time that he doesn’t know Mitro, and that’s why he cannot understand why there was an explosive at his car.
But the investigation group is trying to shed light on these contradictory declarations. They believe that they might reveal why Mitro wanted to blow up the Prefect’s vehicle.
The Serious Crime Prosecutors have discovered that Marjon Mitro has sent an SMS to the prefect with the request: “I want to meet you for a problem”.
Prosecutors say that the Prefect has not answered. Mitro, on the other hand, has written his name and surname in the end of the message. Prosecutors at the Serious Crimes will interview Mitro about the goal of this message, but also to hear his version about the case in question.
Dervishi, on the other hand, claims that he has read the message two days later and didn’t answer because he didn’t know the sender. Another interesting detail is the date on which the message was sent.
Prosecutors say that the message was sent especially on the day when the suspect, Julian Sinanaj, was arrested by the police. He is the person that Mitro paid for placing an explosive under Prefect Dervishi’s car, as Sinanaj told the police.
