The proposition of the Minister of Justice, Ylli Manjani, to engage the
army in the fight against cannabis, has found rejection from the
Minister of Interior and the Minister of Defense.
Mimi Kodheli, the Minister of Defense, sees the proposition as unreasonable. However, she thinks that the decision for this should be collegial. It is up to the Council of Ministers to decide if they will engage the army or not. It is not up to people who follow everything from their comfortable offices.
The Minister of Interior, Saimir Tahiri, was softer with his reaction. He rejected Manjani’s idea, and said that his proposition was based on good intentions, although he is wrong.
The MP of the opposition, Majlinda Bregu, says that this majority should have admitted the problem with cannabis much earlier, from the beginning.
