A 12-year-old from Gjirokaster was saved on time by her classmates from
the dangerous “Blue Whale” game, which pushes teenagers to hurt
themselves and even to suicide.

Her friends noticed her different behavior and even self-made cuts on her body. The girl was on day 33 of the game that takes 55. She had not been eating for the past 10 days. She was using the cell phone of a friend, receiving instructions during her school break.

Sources from the Gjirokaster Education Directory say her parents didn’t not changes on her daughter because they suffer from psychologic problems.

The danger of this game is present at every family and group age, despite their social and economic status.

“Children can download the game on their cell phones. Parents should be more careful to notice behavior changes of their children. If their child is more aggressive, doesn’t listen to you, refuses to eat or to drink fluids, if there are marks on the body, you should suspect for the Blue Whale game”, said Lindita Rova, Education Director of Gjirokaster.
