Minister of Education, Evis Kushi issued today the order prohibiting persons with criminal offenses against minors, to compete or apply for appointments as school teachers.
“Taking into account the recent case of employment in Berat of a teacher that caused high public outrage, today I signed the change that prohibits the application and competition to work as teachers of convicted persons, for whom the court has certified criminal offenses against minors or for committing a criminal offense related to educational institutions”, the minister wrote.
“This decision avoids the risk that may come to students from persons who do not guarantee moral and legal integrity. We are committed to continue with an intensive work to guarantee the protection and well-being of our children “, added Kushi.
