Minister Xhafaj to Basha: “One of us must resign after audio-recording expertise”

The Albanian Minister of Interior, Fatmir Xhafaj, said that he will resign if the audio-recording claimed by the opposition appears to be authentic.
In the audio, his brother is heard talking with a drug trafficker. The man talking in the video stated that he was talking with Xhafaj’s brother, Agron, who denied it, claimed it was a manipulated audio and went to Italy to face the Italian judiciary after the opposition claimed Xhafaj had made it possible for him to not suffer a sentence.
Minister Xhafaj says that he will wait for the test of the audio-recording and that if it appears true, he will resign. But he also has a challenge for the Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha. Xhafaj says he should resign as well if the audio recording appears fake.
“The truth can only be one. If the audio is proved fake, Lulzim Basha must resign and face the law. Is he ready for this challenge?”
