The President of Albania, Bujar Nishani, responded positively to the
request of the Albanian Parliament Speaker, Ilir Meta, to hold a meeting
of the National Security Council regarding the “Balili Case”.
The President responded positively, saying that Balili is considered a danger for the Albanian society and who has also caused concerns among US partners, as reported by Speaker Meta after visiting Washington.
The Minister of Interior, Saimir Tahiri, also held a press release today and said that Balili’s days are numbered, and he will be soon brought to justice.
Balili was wanted by European police as a very important member of the organized crime, related to a wide network of drug traffic.
