The Minister of Transportation, Edmond Haxhinasto, answered to the
accusations of the opposition regarding the request of his institution
for establishing car plates with a traceable chip.
Haxhinasto said the Ministry received an unrequested offer which was sent for evaluation to other institutions. Haxhinasto introduced the advantages for having plates with a chip, and asked the opposition to save critics for a concession that is still under evaluation.
As for the new law for transportation, Haxhinasto explained that it increases the quality, security, and does not reduce the number of self-employed people in this sector, since it transforms them to shareholders of municipal associations.
