The Minister of Interior Affairs, Saimir Tahiri, rejected the
opposition’s accusations for the existence of a surveillance device
inside the State Police offices.

“The State Police has never had and never will have surveillance devices. The people who are saying this will received their answer very soon”, Tahiri said.

The Minister said from the Police Academy that the Prosecution has all the legal instruments to investigate these claims, and offered full cooperation.

Tahiri said they are ready to go to the Commission of Security in Parliament, as soon as he will be invited. He accused the opposition of politically attacking the police.

“The Police keeps being their first target and I understand that. They want to intimidate the police, but they will not be able to do it”, Tahiri said.

As for the case of Klemend Balili, Tahiri had the same answer as Ylli Manjani: “I agree with Ylli Manjani. You can ask the Prosecution about this”, he said.
