Minister of Interior: “Police is more dedicated today”

The Minister of Interior, Saimir Tahiri, made a balance for 2016 and
said that the past year was the one that, thanks to the hard work,
brought police out of professional ruining.
“Police is much more dedicated today. There is more trust from the public and mentality is our biggest victory”, the Minister said on a press release.
Minister Tahiri added that the police has seized 46.7 million EUR and criminal assets during 2016, with police going harder against bigger fishes.
As for the challenges of 2017, Tahiri said that domestic violence and illegal arm possession are major priorities.
