The Minister of Interior, Saimir Tahiri, sent a letter to the General
Secretary of Interpol, Jurgen Stock, asking him to review and reevaluate
the international arrest order against the former PM of Kosovo, Ramush
Haradinaj.
Tahiri said that the implementation of this arrest order would damage basic principles of criminal justice and human rights, since Haradinaj was found not guilty for war crimes by the Court of War Crimes in Yugoslavia, based in Hague.
Listing three other procedural problems, Tahiri asked the Interpol to cancel the arrest order for Haradinaj.
