Minister of Industry and Energy meets Singaporean investors

The Minister of Industry and Energy, Damian Gjiknuri, told Singaporean
investors at the Albania-Singapore trade Forum that Albania offers many
opportunities in energy, oil and gas.
Gjiknuri said Albania is still an importing country, with consumption levels on the rise.
“We will also increase our hydro power resources. We have found the right ways to encourage investments in this area, but since we depend 100% on hydro energy sources, we are promoting alternative ones. We have passed a plan that will encourage investments for generating power from son and wind”, Gjiknuri added.
The Minister said Albania has plenty of potential with oil and gas, and that the Japanese “Jeojade Petroleum” is already operating.
Other minerals, such as nickel, are also a good investment opportunity, according to the Minister of Industry and Energy, who is attending a visit in Singapore, part of a delegation led by PM Rama.
