Minister of Economy: “More room for investments with public-private partnership”

The Minister of Economy, Milva Ekonomi, was part of an activity
organized by the Chammber of Commerce and Industry between Albania and
Turkey.
Minister Ekonomi said that the economic growth of Albania is stable and that the cooperation between the government and businesses has entered a new phase.
Mrs.Ekonomi underlined that the legislation amends come as result of an increased communication between businesses and the government.
“There is more room for improving public services in Albania, from education, health, infrastructure and tourism, as a sector that encourages the economic development of our country”, Ekonomi said.
The Minister added that the changes in the public-private partnership law have created more space for implementing these projects.
However, she said, the fund for PPP projects should not be above the 5% tax profit of the annual budget of the former year.
