Minister of Defense meets KFOR commander

The KFOR commander, General mayor Giovanni Fungo, received the Defense
Minister of Albania, Mimi Kodheli, who he thanked for the contribution
of Albanian troops in KFOR, and underlined the high-level
professionalism of these soldiers in fulfilling the KFOR mandate.
KFOR Commander and Minister Kodheli discussed about the recent security developments and about the general situation in Kosovo and the rest of Balkan.
“KOMKFOR confirmed his support for the Kosovo institutions and for improving the abilities of the Kosovo Security Forces within the current constitutional mandate, and in cooperation with the existing legislative framework. Further improvement of KSF abilities will be done so that it is accepted among all Kosovo ethnic groups. The KFOR commander underlined the high professionalism and commitment of Albanian soldiers in fulfilling the KFOR mandate. He also thanked Mrs.Kodheli and Albania for increasing the number of Albanian soldiers in KFOR, whose presence has always been trustworthy and capable”, the KFOR communication says.
This was the first meeting that Minsiter Kodheli had at the KFOR Headquarter since 2015, and the second official meeting with General Fungo during his mandate as KFOR commander.
