The Minister of Agriculture, Niko Peleshi, declared that the government subventions given for agriculture have benefitted only a small bunch of farmers.
“The number of required documents is higher, and since only 1% of farmers have received subventions, the others are discouraged”, Peleshi declared.
The Minister of Agriculture said that the government will change the scheme by reducing the number of documents. Next year there will be 20 million EUR for subventions, and 100 million EUR from the EU funds.
Peleshi appealed farmers to get formal to receive these funds.
