The Minister of Agriculture, Edmond Panariti, answered to the Lushnej
farmers’s request for having a test lab for their agricultural
production.
“I have the privilege and pleasure to make the first tests of insecticides and pesticides through this quick and comfortable method, together with the first tests for heavy metals”, Panariti declared.
The Minister explained to the personnel of the existing lab in Lushnje that the new equipment are able to make a simple test which give results within 24 hours, revealing the problematic chemicals of the agricultural goods.
The farmers had asked for their products to be certified by a lab when they were feared mass punishment by dropped sales due to rumors for usage of dangerous chemicals and hormones in huge quantities. They say that lab tests are necessary to show who has abused with the growth of vegetables.
