Militants fight in Malesi e Madhe, ballots to be counted by CEC

The ballot count process in Malesi e Madhe has been interrupted due to
fights between militants. Sources say it started when ballot counters
went outside for a 30 minute break.

20 police officers tried to calm the situation, while the Special Forces have arrived immediately on the scene.

The Democratic Party accuses the Socialist Party militants of hitting the local leader of the DP.

The situation remained tense, despite the police forces, and that’s why the municipality decided to continue the counting of the rest of the ballot boxes at the Central Election Commission.

This municipality has counted 52 out of 79 ballots, and the candidate of the left coalition, Tonin Marinaj, received 7104, while hsi rival of the right coalition, Anton kokaj, received 6014 votes.
