Flamingos have returned to Lake Ohrid in the east of Albania, as has been the case for 6 years now, along with those visiting the lagoon of Narta and Karavasta in the west of the country.
Although flamingos are mostly seen in Lake Ohrid in the autumn season, this early spring 4 birds have returned to Pogradec, which means that due to the retreat of the lake’s waters, suitable conditions are created for their temporary stay.
Last fall, 20 flamingos stopped in the waters of Lake Ohrid, but due to atmospheric conditions and still low temperatures, they are expected to stay only for a few days, according to experts.
