Middleman reported by ‘Fiks Fare’ taking bribes for legalization of properties in Durrës, is arrested

After the scandal reported in the Fiks Fare program on Thursday evening, regarding the legalization of a house in Durrës, where the mediators demanded 4 to 6 thousand euros in bribes for a procedure that should have been done years ago, one of them was arrested today.

53-year-old Lulzim Çyrbja was detained by the police whoi said that he appeared in a video broadcast during the investigative show “Fiks Fare” on Top Channel, speaking on behalf of the leaders of the Durrës Cadastre, in the role of a middleman.

In order to legalize the apartments, he required amounts from 4,000 to 6,000 euros. Citizen Selman Ferati, who has started building a residential house in the beach area in Durrës, complained to Fiks Fare. But, for many years he wanders through the doors of the property register and cadastre to get the documents.

“They made all kinds of allegations against me. Everyone in that area, my neighbors, have got the paperwork, except me.”

The investigative materials were handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Durrës Judicial District Court, for the criminal offense “Exercising illegal influence on persons”.

Durrës Police thanked the media reporting the cases of illegality and invites them to cooperate with the police structures, for bringing to light the legal responsibility in cases of illegality that they encounter during their work.
