The Albanian Parliament Speaker, Ilir Meta, is attending a visit in
Denmark, another important EU country which voted “no” for the candidate
status of Albania in December.
He was received in Copenhagen by the Danish Parliament Speaker, Mogens Lykkefoft, who declared that Albania’s progress with the European agenda will encourage and accelerate the reforms in the region.
Meta declared that regardless of the decision taken in December, the Albanian government is determined to progress with the required reforms. Meta added that the Parliament is addressing to all priorities of the European Commission.
Both Parliament Speakers declared that the inter-parliamentary relations between Albania and Denmark will enter a more dynamic phase of mutual exchange with the creation of the Friendship Group.
Meta updated the Danish homologue with the agenda of reforms undertaken in Albania for reinforcing the institutions and economic recovery.
