Meta: “We weren’t impressed by Berisha’s pressures. We won’t by ‘Tom and Jerry’ either”

Ilir Meta, leader of the Socialist Movement for Integration, said their
party has proven its ability to work for stability and integration, and
now they will be proven as government leaders as well.

The press office of the SMI did not distribute Meta’s video-message, but this is the formulation of his message to Edi Rama and Lulzim Basha:

“The SMI cannot be pressured like this. We didn’t fall to the pressure of Sali Berisha time ago, and we will not fall for the pressure of “Tom and Jerry” today. You know that every Democratic Party supporter would prefer Petrit Vasili over Edi Rama as a Prime Minister. You know that every Socialist would vote Petrit Vasili over Lulzim Basha. I had the chance to be the first President proposed by the SMI, but I will decree Petrit Vasili as Prime Minister as well”, Meta declared.

Luan Rama presented the candidates of the SMI for Shkoder:

“We are here to take your trust for serving to the citizens, for a new government that focuses on citizens above anything else. On June 25th you must vote number 1, the SMI. Our victory is a chance for everyone, for Socialists, Democrats and the ones without a party as well, because SMI is the political force of youth, the base of Albania’s democratic institution, stability itself and the European future of Albania”, Rama declared.
