The President of Albania, Ilir Meta, was visiting the holy Bektashi place at Sarisalltik, Kruja, for the Bektashi holiday.
Meta commented the Venice opinion published by Top Channel yesterday, which said that the President had violated the Constitution by canceling the elections.
Meta said that there are zero violations from him, and that the “Golde Lion of Venice” for this year cannot be scared by Venice. “Rest assured that the Golden Lion of Venice for this year will be on duty as promised, until July 24th”, Meta said.
As for the October 11th, the date when the Venice Commission would have been published officially, Meta said that this date does not exist.
“It exists for those who want to deepen and prolong the crisis in over to cover for other problems”, the President said.
