Meta: Regretting Zaganjori’s withdrawal

Meta underlined that this withdrawal deserves the best appreciation from the SMI, and on the same time it is a message for the entire political class, for reflecting and making another effort for consensus, in order to open way to the final solution of this problem, where the Parliament remains sovereign.

By commenting the Socialists’ stances, Meta declared that the opposition lost a wonderful opportunity.

Nano: This is my moment

After the Parliament failed to find a consensual candidate for the third voting session for the election of the President, Fatos Nano believes that his moment has come.

Nano declared that the country is seriously risking the EU candidate status.

Quoting Father Anton Harapi when he spoke about patriotism as sincere love for the people, Fatos Nano appealed all MPs to show their patriotism through what he called “active love”.

In other words, they should vote Nano as the candidacy that would resolve the political stalemate in the country. Nano’s declaration goes to Rama, Berisha and Meta.

He reminds the political leaders that if he will be elected as president, he would dedicate himself to resolve the conflicts, rather than adding them.

The declaration has an evaluation for Zaganjori’s resignation, which Fatos Nano greets as responsible act of a state dignitary.

The Nano for President Movement appealed the Socialist Party to support their historical leader as President.

Earlier the day he declared that he would abandon the presidential race only if someone else would be elected, and he warned his return to the Socialist Party, with the argument that it is hurt.

On the same day, a group of 26 intellectuals appealed the Parliamentary Leader to support Fatos Nano’s candidacy, valuing him as the right person for President.
