While the Meta-Prifti case is being handled by the Supreme Court,
another confrontation is taking place outside the Tribunal. It is the
political battle, which is heating up.
After Meta’s declaration, Prifti reacted through a press release.
“Now it is obvious that Mr. Meta doesn’t understand neither the actions of his lawyers. Unfortunately, he doesn’t understand that the Court implemented today what Meta himself requested, the invalidity of the video files. The court implemented today what they decided in the previous session, the invalidity of the expertise that Meta requested. The Court cannot allow a proof that has just been considered as invalid by the court itself”, Prifti declared.
“The prosecution implemented the Court’s decision for the invalidity of the forensic report that dismissed the proof of Prifti-Beqiri video. The Prifti-Beqiri video has no value for Meta’s trial. It is a private video, made at home, without any connection with my duty and that of Mr. Beqiri. The video Prifti-Beqiri has been requested by Meta only for blackmailing me as a witness. I advise Meta to not conduct his battle against me, because I guarantee him that he will lose. Meta’s battle is with the justice”, Prifti added.
