President Ilir Meta expressed concern today about the situation of COVID-19 in the country and through a status said that the disturbing rates of increase in the number of affected and number of victims require urgently a serious, responsible and transparent reflection.
Meta further added:
“We need a concrete long-term strategy, not a sporadic or a media one, to cope and bring the numbers under control, of this pandemic that is seriously endangering the health and lives of citizens.
“We also need intensive communication with the countries of the region and those of the EU, as well as with the WHO, in order to harmonize the actions and exchange information in real time for the orientation strategy that allows a safer and faster exit from pandemic.
“Expressing my deepest condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones, and wishing a speedy recovery to all those affected, I emphasize the need for rigorous observance of all health protocols and preventive measures.”
