During a meeting with the former Croatian President, Stipe Mesic, the
Socialist Movement for Integration leader, Ilir Meta, the biggest ally
of the ruling party, explained voices in his party for government
changes.
Ilir Meta declared that the evaluation of the performance of Ministers is made by the Prime Minister.
“The Prime Minister has the biggest responsibility. The Socialist Movement for Integration has supported the Prime Minister’s work by avoiding personal evaluation of any Parliament Member or Minister. This is a clear position of the Socialist Movement for Integration. Every rushed and personal declaration doesn’t help the one who is being rushed. As for the relations between the Socialist Party and the Socialist Movement for Integration, they are very solid”, declared the Socialist Movement for Integration leader, Ilir Meta.
The Parliament Speaker declared that he supports the work of the state police, especially that of the Minister of Interior, Saimir Tahiri. But to show that there is always room for improvements, Meta started it with the Parliament he leads.
“No party has the right to ask others to answer and not answer for responsibilities”, Meta declared.
After several interpretations for Meta’s decision to leave the room before Rama held his speech in the Socialist Party anniversary, Meta explained that it was a misunderstanding. Meta said that the speech was right when the world cup opening was starting and he didn’t want to miss a Balkan country, Croatia, playing against Brazil.
