The Parliament Speaker of Albania, Ilir Meta, attended a meeting with
leaders of the “Power Construction Corporation of China”, an active
investing company in our country.
The leader of this company, Yan Zhiyong, expressed their interest to continue investing in Albania, and their readiness for other projects of mutual interest.
“Besides the Berat by-pass, we are working for the building of the Thumana-Vora-Rrogozhina road”, Mr.Zhiyomg said.
Speaker Meta asked the Chinese corporation to also keep their interest on the building of the railway that connects Albania with Macedonia, also part of Corridor 8. “We welcome investments in infrastructure, agriculture and tourism, where there are huge possibilities”, Meta said.
The Minister Agriculture sought support for draining canals as part of the management of natural waters. And the possibility to exploit also the wind and sun for energy.
Representatives of Power Construction Corporation decided to send a work group in Albania to verify the propositions on terrain.
