The President of Albania, Ilir Meta, met with the Hungarian Prime Minister, Viktor Orban.
Expressing his gratitude for the support that Hungary has given Albania for the EU accession negotiations, Meta underlined the readiness of Albania to improve the bilateral political relations.
Meta expressed his trust that the reestablishing of a direct airline between both capitals, and the opening of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce in Tirana, would improve the relations in the year when Albania and Hungary celebrate the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations.
As for the current NATO partnership, both leaders spoke about the challenges both countries face, such as illegal immigration and the influence of third actors in Western Balkan.
