Meta meets Ambassador Cannon

According to the announcement released by the Parliament’s press office, Ambassador Cannon expressed his full support of his country in Albania’s European integration process.

“Ambassador Cannon supported the idea of intensifying the parliamentary relations and declared that the Head of the House of Commons in the British Parliament, John Bercow, and the Head of the House of Lords, Baroness D’Sousa, have expressed their interest to visit Albania and that they are working for the realization of these visits in a high rank level. The Parliament Speaker, Ilir Meta, valued the constant support of Britain in the consolidation of democratic institutions, mainly in the justice reforms and security. The Parliament Speaker underlined that the Parliament will contribute positively for increasing the cooperation climate between the majority and opposition, which should play an important role in the passing of the key reforms, in order to reinforce stability and progress in the European Integration path”, the announcement said.
