Parliament Speaker Ilir Meta held a meeting today with the President of
Kosovo, Ahtifete Jahjaga. He said that Albania supports Kosovo’s
progress in the Euro-Atlantic Integration process.
The Parliament Speaker said that the efforts should continue on reinforcing the democratic institutions, the rule of law, the recognition of Kosovo’s independence by international governments and organizations, and the normalization of the relations with Serbia.
Meta guaranteed the President of Kosovo that Albania will always support Kosovo’s democratic progress. He underlined the relations between the two countries for stability and regional safety.
President Jahjaga was accompanies by the Minister of Trade and Industry, Hykmete Bajrami; the Minister of Agriculture, Forests and Rural Development, Memli Krasniqi.
Present with Ilir Meta were the Deputy Parliament Speaker, Shpetim Idrizi, and the Chairwoman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Arta Dade.
