Meta invites the opposition: “Let’s vote your requests”

“I want to invite the opposition to participate in the session of this
Thursday”. The Parliament Speaker, Ilir Meta, started his media
communication with an invitation for the opposition. He reminded to the
Democratic Party that in the session of this Thursday they will vote the
investigative commissions that they have requested.

Meta used irony against the numerous requests that keep coming from the Democratic Party, as conditions for returning to parliament. He opposed the recent one for an agreement between parties under the mediation of international partners.

“The decision taken by the Parliament shows responsibility for creating all conditions for fulfilling its functions in this democratic system that we chose and that we must manage. We cannot expect someone else to take our hands for respecting the rules, the democratic norms that we have sanctioned. I think that others have more serious problems”, Meta declared.

Meta has opposed not only the opposition, but also his MP, Spartak Braho, who voted in favor of Nishani’s decree regarding the Supreme Court candidates.

“We invite everyone to understand the importance of this project and not get emotionally influenced”, Meta declared.

For Meta, the President must consult the Parliamentary groups of the majority before proposing names for the Constitutional Court.

Meta said that the cooperation of the President with the Prime Minister in selecting the new Central Bank governor is as important.

Meta declared that the Parliament will vote this Thursday the procedures for chosing the new members of the Supervisory Council.
