The President of Albania, Ilir Meta, was at the summit of leaders for Brdo-Brijun Process in Skopje, Macedonia.

He appealed for more coordination from EU and NATO, in function of the European perspective.

He asked those institutions to provide effective political, economic and financial support to realize this perspective as quickly as possible.

In his speech, Meta said that every moment was used to commit to direct dialogue, despite not always agreeing.

Referring to the joint ambition for EU integration and for creating a mutual trust climate, Meta underlined that the region has taken some steps back during the last months, with the harsh rhetoric, which, however, was isolated.

The President expressed support to the ambitions for having all Balkan countries join NATO and continue the EU integration, which guarantees peace, stability and prosperity not only for the region but for Europe itself.
