The Socialist Movement for Integration leader, Ilir Meta, was present at
the forum “Stable economic development for safe employment”, from where
he declared that the economic propositions made by the current
government leadership are confused and populist.

Meta brought to attention the report of the European bank for Reconstruction and Development for the first trimester of this year, in which is said that the Albanian economy has increased with only 0.5%, just close to recession. The Socialist Movement for Integration leader declared that the measures proposed by his party are long-termed.

“We have a quicker restructuring, with short and long termed effects for the economy of our country, passing it from an employment economy to an economy that goes towards the production growth, and all policies and taxes will be placed to this function, and also to creating new jobs”, Meta declared.

Patrick Diamond, former economic adviser for the British Prime Ministers Tony Blair and Gordon Brown, who has assisted with the economic program of the Socialist Movement for Integration, valued it as a realistic program.

The former planner of economic policies for the British Labor Party, who has assisted the Socialist Movement for Integration economic program, valued its implementation as very realistic and that would bring the country out of the crisis.
